Pombe 1
Pombe is a cheetah living at the San Diego Safari Park and she's very special to me. This is my first colored scratchboard! I have hundreds of photos of Pombe and her sisters and I knew immediately that this pose was going to be the one I made the big leap for. Pombe 1 was first unveiled in the Fine Art Show at the San Diego County Fair in 2009 and she won a top prize. There are several subjects in this series now which I call the Emerging series.
